Actually it should be titled About “Me” as I’m about the only one ever in here!
Who am I?
My name is Bruce Stevens, a transplanted New Zealander, who has happily lived in Canada for 30 odd years. Hubby to one, Dad to three, and Poppa to four, I’ve spent a satisfying career in the Agriculture field, and for the past 5-6 years have dabbled in Internet Marketing, with varying degrees of success. My goal is to augment a looming retirement with something I enjoy!
Like many I’m sure, I’ve done all the wrong things, (even dabbled in those horrible, software generated MFA sites – and was doing great until Google punted me!), bought way too many “quick fixes” and more recently, decided if I was to truly succeed in this business then I’d better seek out a couple of “quality” people to follow & emulate, swear off buying the “latest & greatest”, remove myself from almost all mailing lists, divest of a lot of websites that seemed a great idea at the time, (but weren’t!) and just concentrate on one endeavour that appealed to me.
That endeavour was creating one high quality review site, with all original content and proceeding to slowly & surely embark on a back linking strategy using proven “white hat” techniques, anchored by creating guest posts for high PR blogs.
So far so good….
So where did Rocket Rider come from?
Back in the “yesteryear” I was looking to learn how to grow a Twitter account and purchased an ebook called Twitter Rocket, that had an affiliate program with it. The method worked very well, a hybrid of manual & automated methods, and I had the great idea of making my own site to promote it, hence Rocket Rider.
Well, the affiliate program never lasted long enough to even get the site going, so it was one more domain name in my “wish I’d thought twice” pile.
Fast forward to today, and I found myself getting a little lonely back-linking, back-linking, back-linking, & decided to resurrect the site, put up a blog, and have a place to chronicle my efforts, showcase some products that work for me, and hopefully engage in some online chatter with some like minded folk. So, Rocket Rider got to grace the Internet after all!
I give you Rocket Rider, nothing fancy, but engaging for me, a bit of a time waster maybe, but fun.
And absolutely nothing to do with Rockets!
